She was widowed at age 38 on the death of her husband Thomas on 27 August 1931.1,9,10,11

He was listed in the 1901 census as Head of Family at 2 Park Rd in Camberwell, London, Middlesex, with his wife Amy; he was a metal refiner. Their child Grace was listed as living with them, as was Amy's mother Laura Susan SNOW. The household also included Amy's step-sister and step-brother Ellen Emma EVANS and David Jinkin EVANS, who were listed as Frederick's sister- and brother-in-law.2

He was listed in the 1911 census as Head of Family at 42 Princes St in Bermondsey, London, Middlesex; he was an antimony worker. Note that although he and his mother-in-law are at the same address, they have filed unique returns, and the rest of Frederick's household have not been found.4

Frederick's death was registered in March 1916 in Camberwell, London, Surrey.5

John Cornwallis GODLEY was born on 9 February 1861 in Co. Cavan.2

He married Mary Blanche McNAUGHT, daughter of William McNAUGHT and Ann FORSAITH, at St George's Cathedral in Madras, Madras, on 10 January 1895. John was employed by the Madras Eduction Dept at this time.1,3

He was appointed administrator of Mary Blanche McNAUGHT's estate in London on 16 October 1937.4
