Betty arrived in Southampton from Cape Town on the Carnarvon Castle on 15 July 1929 accompanied by her child Kenneth.8

Betty returned to England on 8 February 1932, arriving in Southampton from Cape Town on the Llandaff Castle accompanied by her child Kenneth.8

In 1937 Betty petitioned Richard Brian ASHBURNER for divorce in Transvaal, possibly on the grounds of desertion.9

He was educated at Llandaff and St Paul's School, London, before commencing employment with Lambert Bros (shipowners and coal factors).

On the outbreak of war he volunteered, was enlisted in the Queen's Westminster Rifles (Aug 1914) and was subsequently given a commission (gazetted 17 Mar 1915) as 2nd Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Royal Warwickshires, then posted to the 2nd Battalion in July.2

Kenneth died on 25 September 1915 at the Battle of Loos, Pas de Calais area in France at age 19. He was at that stage 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.5,2 He was buried at the Dud Corner Cemetery (panel 22-25).6

Their children Kenneth, Genifer and Betty were listed as living with them, as was Anita's sister Mabel Kate FERGUSSON.6

Lancelot died on 19 September 1908 at St Julians Caerilon in Newport, Monmouthshire.7,8

His will was probated in Llandaff, Glamorganshire, on 7 December 1908 with Anita Isabelle FERGUSSON appointed executrix of an estate valued at £1013/5/-, later resworn at £1657/15/11.9
