Margaret Thomson LIDDELL was born in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, on 21 August 1825.1 and was baptised in September 1825 in Clackmannan.1,2

Marriage banns for Margaret and David MOODIE were published on 12 February 1853 in Alloa, Clackmannanshire.3

She married David MOODIE, son of Thomas MUDIE and Mary Gordon NICOLL, in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, on 14 February 1853.3,4

The ship Calabar, under Moodie's command, left Southampton 4 May 1853 and arrived Port Adelaide, Sth Australia on the 1 Aug 1853. Mrs Moodie is recorded as 'Master's wife' (although she appears, somewhat strangely, in the 'Single Women' list).
The Calabar then sailed for India, arriving on 9 Nov 1853, just in time for the birth of their son.5,6

She was widowed at age 29 on the death of her husband David on 20 March 1855.7,8

She was sole beneficiary on the probate of her husband David MOODIE's will at the Perogative Court of Canterbury on 26 July 1855.9
She was listed in the 1861 census at Forth St in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, in the household of her father John LIDDELL, where she was the house-keeper.10

She was listed in the 1881 census as Head of Family at 10 Forth St in Alloa, Clackmannanshire; she was widowed, living alone on 'interest and dividends' in a house with 7 rooms having windows (and also rounded her age down to 50).11

Margaret died on 17 August 1905 in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, at age 79.12,13,14,15

Her estate was confirmed in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, on 6 November 1905 with her estate valued at £1584/5/8.14

She was listed in the 1920 US census at 64 South 18th St in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, with her husband George; he was the proprietor of a jewellery store and they owned their own house. The household included Eunice's mother Lucinda (---?---).1

She was listed in the 1930 US census at 1835 Bryden Rd in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, with her husband George; he was manager of a jewellery store. The family house was owned (value $12,000), and contained a radio set. Their child George was listed as living with them, and a nurse/servant was present, possibly to look after Eunice's mother Lucinda (---?---), who also lived with them.4

Eunice died on 3 February 1955 in USA at age 69.3 She was buried at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus.3
