She married Alexander CHALMERS at 54 Plantation St, Govan in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 16 December 1881. There were no children from this marriage.5

She was widowed at age 47 on the death of her husband Alexander on 16 January 1903.6

Jean died on 20 November 1922 at Victoria Infirmary external residence, 40 Plantation St in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at age 67 of a cerebral haemorrhage. The informant was her niece Christina.7

She was listed in the 1901 census at 54 William St, Anderston in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, with her husband Charles; he was a police constable, they both spoke English and Gaelic, and their house had three rooms with windows. Their children Jane, Christina, Catherine, Jessie, Margaret, Marion, Angus, Dugald, John and James were listed as living with them.7

Margaret died on 24 December 1909 at 848 Argyle St in Anderston, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at age 57 of sudden cardiac failure. The informant was her husband Charles.8 She was buried.
