William QUINN

(1870 - 1925)
William QUINN was born in New Zealand on 14 November 1870.1,2,3

He successfully took over and managed his father's bacon-curing business and was a director of J. M. Brown & Co. He was much travelled, author of 'Wisteria & Jade' and was prominent in musical circles, including the First Church and Invercargill Male Choirs.3

He married Elizabeth Selina May MACDONALD, daughter of Thomas Morell MACDONALD and Charlotte Clements FORSAITH, in New Zealand in 1906. There were no children from this marriage.4,5

William died on 9 November 1925 in Invercargill, Southland, at age 54.6 He was buried on 10 November 1925 at the Invercargill Eastern Cemetery in Invercargill.7
