She married Alexander McGregor Ferguson, son of Alexander Fergusson and Elizabeth Stewart, at Millburn House, Townmill Rd in Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 25 November 1892.4

She was the informant of Ernest McGregor Ferguson's death at 10 Cork St in Camberwell, London, Surrey, on 14 August 1898.5
She was listed in the 1901 census at 114 Dunchatton St in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, in the household of her parents, James Rodger and Jane Alexander.6

She was listed in the 1911 census at 77 Willoughby St in Liverpool, Lancashire, with her husband Alexander; he was a meat salesman. Their children Alexander, James, Angus, Ernest, Ronald, Winifred and Dorothy were listed as living with them.7

She was listed in the 1921 census as Head of Family at 11 Bagot St in Toxteth Park, Liverpool, Lancashire; she said her relationship to Head of household was 'wife', but there is no sign of her husband. Her children Alexander, Winifred, Dorothy and John were listed as living with her, as was a married servant.8

She was widowed at age 60 on the death of her husband Alexander on 17 December 1933.9

She was listed in the 1939 Register at 11 Belvedere Rd in Wallasey, Cheshire. John Ferguson and Dorothy Rodger Ferguson were listed as living at the same address.10

Helen died on 26 January 1951 at 26 Seaview Ave in Wallasey, Cheshire, at age 77 of myocardial degeneration. The informant was her son Alexander, who used the name of A E Seymour FERGUSON.11 She was cremated at the Landican Crematorium in Wirral.1

James Rodger was born in Uddingston, Bothwell, Lanarkshire, on 18 May 1848. He was the son of James Rodger and Helen Chalmers.2,3,4 He was baptised at Free Church in Bothwell, Stirlingshire, on 11 June 1848.4

He married Jane Alexander at 510 Gallowgate in Calton, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 25 February 1870. He was a compositor and his father (deceased) had been a brewery cellarman, while her father (also deceased), had been a mason.1,3

He was listed in the 1901 census as Head of Family at 114 Dunchatton St in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, with his wife Jane; he was a printer's compositor. Their child Helen was listed as living with them, as were their grand-children Alexander Ewen Ferguson, James Rodger Ferguson, Angus Stewart Ferguson and Ernest Ferguson.2
