He married Maria Forsaith, daughter of John Forsaith and Elizabeth Sarah Ward, at St Georges Church, Everton in Liverpool, West Derby, Lancashire, on 16 June 1846. He was a mason, son of another Charles WATT, and was living at 48 Holmhead St, Glasgow at the time of the marriage.1,2,3
Charles arrived at Port Philip Bay, Victoria, on 25 November 1852, on board the 'Lady Eveline' from London accompanied by his wife Maria Forsaith and children Florence Mary, Selina Elizabeth and Kathleen Anne.4
He was widowed on the death of his wife Maria on 31 August 1877.1,5,6
