Clarence John White1
(1889 - 1970)
Clarence's birth was registered in 1889 in Melbourne, Victoria. He was the son of John WHITE (engine-driver) and Hannah Mary THOMAS, and although correctly claiming to be 22 when married in June 1911, was magically 25 by September.1
He married Alison May Coleman at 3 Victoria Parade in Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria, on 20 June 1911. He was a salesman, she a milliner.2
A warrant for his arrest was issued by the Melbourne Bench in 1914 on a charge of wife desertion - he was described as being 5ft 6in high, of stout build, dark complexion and hair, blue eyes, clean-shaven, and was a boot salesman, said to be in NSW. This was presumably the issue that led to his subsequent divorce.3
Clarence was divorced from Alison May Coleman at Melbourne, Victoria, in August 1915.4
Clarence's death was registered in 1970 in Heidelberg, Melbourne, Victoria.5
