Ernest Edward Williams was born in St Columb, Cornwall, on 10 May 1866.1,2

He married Margaret Lucy Forsaith, daughter of Thomas Edward Forsaith and Helen Lucy Shepard, in Canada on 3 April 1917.1

He was listed in the 1921 census as Head of Family at Carmichael in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, with his wife Margaret; he was a farmer, employing James Tolles as a farm labourer and they owned their own 6-room house. Their children Edward, Anna and Janet were listed as living with them.3

He was listed in the 1931 census as Head of Family with his wife Margaret; he was classified as a rancher and they lived in a 7-room house (owned), worth $3000 and had a radio. Their children Edward, Anna, Janet and Elizabeth were listed as living with them.4

Ernest died on 15 October 1953 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, at age 87.5 He was buried in October 1953 at the Gulf Lake Cemetery in Gull Lake.5
