He married Mary Cover Hassall, daughter of Rowland Hassall and Elizabeth Hancox, at St John's Church in Parramatta, New South Wales, on 22 November 1819. This was one part of the 'triple wedding' of the 3 Hassall siblings.1,3,2

He was widowed at age 32 on the death of his wife Mary on 25 December 1825.1,2

Walter's second marriage was to Eliza Molyneaux on 27 July 1829.1,2

Henry Hassall Lawry and Hephzibah Forsaith were married by Walter Lawry at Wesleyan Chapel in Auckland on 1 May 1849.4,5,1,6,7,2,8

John Aldred and Mary Australia Lawry were married by Walter Lawry at Wesleyan Chapel in Auckland on 1 May 1849.1,9,10,2,8

Walter died on 26 March 1859 in Parramatta, New South Wales, at age 65.1,11,2 He was buried on 30 March 1859 at the Wesleyan Cemetery (now the Walter Lawry Methodist Memorial Park) in Parramatta.2

Walter Forsaith Lawry was born in Auckland on 16 May 1851.2

He married Marguerite Elizabeth Simpson at the residence of the bride's parents in Nth Shore, Sydney, New South Wales, on 24 February 1880.3,4,5,6

He was named as a beneficiary of the will of Thomas Spencer Forsaith, his uncle, dated 13 June 1898 in Parramatta, New South Wales; he was to receive all his "manuscripts. sermons, lectures, Auto-Biographical Memoranda and all other productions of my pen, excepting only writings books and papers relating to my estate."7

Elizabeth Mary Clements, Thomas Morell Macdonald and Walter Forsaith Lawry were appointed executors of Thomas Spencer Forsaith's estate in Sydney, New South Wales, on 22 December 1898.8

Walter died on 18 November 1929 in Sydney, New South Wales, at age 78.9
