She was listed in the 1841 census at East St, Hoxton in St Leonards Shoreditch, Middlesex, with her husband Thomas; he was an engineer. Their child David was listed with them.5
She was listed in the 1851 census at 53 Paul St in St Leonards Shoreditch, London, Middlesex, with her husband Thomas; he was an Engineer Master, employing two men and a boy. Their children David, Mary, Anna, Thomas, Joseph and Martha were listed as living with them.6
Sarah arrived at Adelaide, South Australia, on 1 October 1855, on board the 'Caucasian', having left London on the 4th of June accompanied by her husband Thomas Forsaith and children David, Mary Anne, Thomas, Joseph and Martha.7
Sarah died on 26 August 1866 in Nth Adelaide, South Australia.1,8 She was buried on 28 August 1866 at the West Terrace Cemetery.9
