Mary Ann Blomfield

Mary Ann Blomfield was born in Wymondham, Norfolk, on 21 July 1801.1,2,3 and was baptised on 8 May 1813 at the Independent Chapel in Wortwell cum Harleston.4
She married Samuel Goddard Ludbrook in Redenhall, Norfolk, on 4 November 1823.3,2
She was widowed on the death of her husband Samuel before 1837.2
After the death of her husband (and possibly at the suggestion of her sister Martha) she left Gravesend in August 1841 for New Zealand on the Mandarin with her sister Rebecca accompanied by her child Samuel. On arrival in Dec 1841 at Port Nicholson they sailed on the Abercrombie to Auckland, where they were met by George CLARKE Jnr who escorted them to Waimate Nth.2
Mary died on 26 November 1887 in Ohaeawai ?? at age 86.3,2 She was buried on 27 November 1887.5,2

Rebecca Alice Blomfield was born in Wymondham, Norfolk, on 24 June 1806.1
Rebecca left England in August 1841 on the Mandarin, with her sister Mary and nepher Samuel. She remained a spinster and lived with her other sister Martha at Grove Cottage, Waimate North.2
