Ralph died on 29 April 1926 at Cessnock District Hospital in Cessnock, New South Wales, at age 75 of cerebral thrombosis; his eldest son Thomas was the informant.^1,17 He was buried on 30 April 1926 at the Cessnock Cemetery, Wine Country Drive in Cessnock.^18,1
