She was widowed on the death of her husband Cornelius on 26 July 1969.5,6

Peter McGregor Peters was born in Sydney, New South Wales, on 11 June 1927.2,3

Richard and Peter arrived in Southampton on 11 July 1931 on the Corinthic, having left Auckland on 2 Jun 1931 (under the name of Giffard-Burgess) with Stanley and Jean.1,4
He served with the Coldstream Guards after enlisting on 23 January 1945 at Reading, Berkshire, (#2669455) under the name of Clifford Peters. He was discharged as a Lance Corporal on 28 May 1948 at his own request.5

He began a professional football career with Reading and made two appearances for them in 1945/46, but in 1947 joined Canterbury, before being transferred to West Ham in Jan 1949 for a fee of £500.
He did not make their first team in the two and half seasons spent there, and joined Margate in 1952. At 6ft tall, he was regarded as a 'wonder keeper' by the local press and went on to play 211 games for Margate with 52 clean sheets. During this time he worked as a carpenter.
In the 1957/58 season he was carried off unconscious in an August game, after which his play became erratic; he was dropped as first keeper and moved to Headington United in Feb 1958.6

Peter died on 14 November 2012 in Bendigo, Victoria, at age 85.7,8,3 His ashes were buried on 22 November 2012 at Eaglehawk Remembrance Park, 5 Victoria St in Bendigo.3
