Thomas Paul was born in Aylmerton, Norfolk, on 29 April 1774. The birth was recorded as illegitimate, but we presume the father's surname was PAUL.2 He was baptised in Aylmerton, Norfolk, on 1 May 1774.2
He married Ann Williamson in Briston, Norfolk, on 15 March 1815. Banns were published on 26 Feb, 5 Mar and 12 Mar, in which he was described as a widower - but details of a previous marriage are not known.3,4
Thomas Paul and George Paul appeared before the Walsingham, Norfolk, on 13 July 1838, charged with larceny. Thomas was acquitted, but George was sentenced to 18 mths imprisonment.5
He was listed in the 1841 census in Briston, Norfolk, with his wife Ann; he was a farmer and their sons James (22), Charles (20), John (14), Robert (13) - all agricultural labourers - also Joshua (12) and daughters Sarah (18) and Georgeanna (10) were also present.6
Thomas's death was registered between April 1848 and June 1848 in Forehoe, Norfolk.7

Vida died on 5 December 2000 at Christchurch Hospital in Christchurch, Canterbury, at age 91.6,7 She was cremated at the Green Island Cemetery on 8 December 2000, after a service at St Margaret's Presbyterian Church, Green Island.8 Her ashes were buried at Green Island Cemetery.7
