This was presumably the issue that led to his subsequent divorce.³

Clarence was divorced from Alison May Coleman at Melbourne, Victoria, in August 1915.⁴

She was listed in the 1930 US census at Brier Hill in Shaftsbury, Bennington, Vermont, with her husband Robert; he gave his occupation as Professor.⁷

Elinor died on 20 March 1938 in Gainesville, Alachua Co., Florida, at age 64.^8,2,9 She was buried at the Old Bennington Cemetery, Route 9 in Old Bennington.²
