She was listed in the 1939 Register at 261 Smithdown Rd in Liverpool, Lancashire, with Angus Stewart Ferguson; he was a Chief Steward on the Dock & Harbour Board fireboat Trefoil. Olive Florence Ferguson and Adelaide Myrtle Maud Ferguson were listed as living at the same address.⁸

She was widowed at age 73 on the death of her husband Angus on 1 May 1969.¹

Adelaide died on 6 September 1971 in Conway, Caernarfonshire, at age 75.^1,9 She was buried on 13 September 1971 at the Toxteth Park Cemetery, Smithdown Rd in Liverpool.¹⁰

Her will was probated in Llanduff on 5 October 1971 with an estate of £750.⁹

He married Christina Brookman Forsaith, daughter of Ebenezer James Forsaith and Annie Rawsthorne. But it is unclear when or where this marriage may have taken place. He was probably born in Victoria in 1887 and died in WA in 1946, but his only recorded marriage was to Mary Elizabeth SMITH in 1925 in Fremantle, WA. Christina appears in the Electoral Rolls in Victoria under the name of FORSAITH from 1919 until 1927, then as BOYNTON (1939-1943) in Sth Australia.¹
