Mother*Dorothy Maude Brigham1 b. 1894, d. 1948
Bruce Alexander Macgregor Fergusson was born in the Federation of Malay States circa 1920. This is partly assumption, but is based on his travel to the UK with his mother, aged 1, and the lack of any UK birth records.2

Bruce died on 5 July 1941 when the Anselm, the troopship he was aboard, was sunk by the German submarine U-96 off the Azores. The Anselm had been carrying over 1200 RAF and other personnel from Gourock to Freetown when attacked - Bruce was part of the RAF Takoradi (Ghana) contingent, the base being on the supply route for aircraft being sent to Egypt, the Middle East and even on to Russia.
