He married Maxwell Harley Bates, daughter of Joseph William Bates and Maxwell Forfar Hutton Moodie, at St Andrew's Church in Hastings, Hawkes Bay, on 4 January 1941.¹

He was widowed at age 70 on the death of his wife Maxwell on 24 May 1986.

Owen died on 7 January 1988 in New Zealand at age 71.

William Joseph Ecroyd was born in England circa 1827. and was baptised on 27 January 1827 at St Mary Magdelen in Bermondsey.³

Eliza Matilda Edghill was born in England on 21 June 1871.²

She was listed in the 1921 census at Brentwood Church Rd in Polegate, Hailsham, Sussex, with her husband Joseph; he was proprietor of a garage at 3 Commercial Rd, Eastbourne. Their children Sidney, Harold and Mabel were listed as living with them.³

She was listed in the 1939 Register at 35 West Ashton Rd in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, with Joseph Lockwood; he was a retired garage proprietor and they were living in the household of Hector and Mabel Swift.²

She was widowed at age 68 on the death of her husband Joseph on 1 April 1940.⁴

She was appointed administrator of Joseph Lockwood's estate in London on 21 May 1940.⁴

Eric Edmonds was born in Cathcart, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, in 1928.¹

Stanley Malcolm Edwardes was born in Belgaum, Bombay, on 18 November 1863. He was the son of Stanley de Burgh and Adelaide Jane EDWARDES.²

He married Emma Polglase James at St Thomas' Cathedral in Bombay, Bombay, on 4 December 1909. He was a Lt-Colonel in the Indian Army at this time.¹

Stanley died on 30 October 1937 in Cranbrook, Kent, at age 73.^3,4

His will was probated in London on 19 January 1938 with effects of £749/8/10.⁴

Ann Elizabeth Edwards was born in Folkestone, Kent, on 15 January 1855.^2,3
She was listed as a servant in Alfred Henry Haggis's household in the 1891 Census at 367 London Rd in Croydon, Surrey, acting as house-keeper. She would shortly marry Alfred's widowed son-in-law Howard, who was also living in the household.²

Ann's marriage to Howard Barnard was registered between April 1893 and June 1893 in Hendon, Middlesex.¹

She was listed in the 1921 census at 18 St Mary's Rd in Willesden, Middlesex, with her husband Howard; he was a journalist for the North-West Printing and Publishing Assoc. Ltd. The household included their niece Edith (37) and great-niece Jessie Isabel Tull (12).⁴

She was widowed at age 77 on the death of her husband Howard on 6 April 1932.^5,6

She was appointed executrix of Howard Barnard's estate in London on 9 June 1932.⁶

She was listed in the 1939 Register at 18 St Mary's Rd in Willesden, Middlesex; she is stated to be 'incapacitated' and one Edith GLAZEBROOK, a nurse/housekeeper is living with her.³

Joseph Edwards was born at 48 Firhill Rd in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 4 February 1878.¹

He married Jane Isa McInnes, daughter of Charles McInnes and Margaret McColl, at Salvation Army Citadel, Main St in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 22 December 1904. He was a journeyman house painter, she a tea-room waitress at the time of their marriage.²

Joseph died on 6 July 1921 at 253 Duke St in Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at age 43 of mitral and aortic incompetence. The informant was his wife Jane.³
