She married Dugald McColl McInnes, son of Charles McInnes and Margaret McColl, at 60 Bath St (Free Church) in Blythswood, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 1 October 1924.3

She was widowed on the death of her husband Dugald on 8 March 1957.4

Emma died in 1975 at Martha St in Glasgow, Lanarkshire.5
