She was listed in the 1939 Register at Broxbourne Lodge in Ponsbourne Park, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with Gerald Essex Trevor; he was managing clerk at a garage and claimed to be married, but his real wife at this time was Gladys HOUGHTON. Mary Scott FERGUSSON, living with him and also 'married' was using the surname TREVOR. Ann Goodwin was listed as living at the same address.¹³

Norman Gardner Fergusson was born in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, on 6 May 1867.¹

He married Caroline Mary Graham Scott at St Michael's Church in Edmonton, Highgate, Middlesex, on 5 June 1894. The bride was given away by her father and her three sisters Norah, Lilian, Ethel were bridesmaids along with Winifred Jessie Fergusson. After the reception the couple left for a honeymoon tour in Scotland.^1,7,8,9

He was listed in the 1901 census as Head of Family at Kinlark in Little Stanmore, Hendon, Middlesex, with his wife Caroline; he was an iron ore merchant. Their children Mary and Honor were listed as living with them.¹⁰
