Vaclav Tarantik was born in Hrdlorezy, Mlada Boleslav, on 27 April 1911.^1,2,3

He married Elizabeth Goodwin, daughter of Richard Arthur Goodwin and Mary Scott Fergusson, at Registry Office in St Giles, Edinburgh, Midlothian, on 4 April 1942. He gave his occupation as a textile factory worker, but also stated he was a Sergeant, Air Gunner, in the RAF; she stated she was a hospital nurse.⁴

During WWII he served with the RAF (Vol Reserve) in 311 Squadron (Czech) initially as an air gunner, #787896, but promoted through LAC, Sgt, Flt Sgt to Warrant Oficer in Jul 1943. This was the only Czech bomber squadron in the RAF and flew Wellington medium bombers from 1940-43, then B24 Liberators in maritime patrol work.^1,2

Vaclav died on 13 July 1944 at Bolt Head in Salcombe, Devon, at age 33 His Liberator V (BZ717) was recalled in bad weather and crashed, killing all eight crew members.^1,2 He was buried on 19 July 1944 at the Plymouth (Weston Mill) Cemetery in Plymouth.^1,2

She was listed in the 1939 Register at 59 Redington Rd in Liverpool, Lancashire; she was living with her parents Ernest and Gladys Taylor (he was a GPO Night Telephonist).⁵

She married George Angus (Andy) Ferguson, son of Angus Stewart Ferguson and Adelaide May Boyle, at Parish Church at All Souls, Springwood in Liverpool, Lancashire, on 31 August 1946. He was an Aircraftman II with the RAF and she was a clerk.^6,2,7

Agnes died on 16 August 2018 in Liverpool, Lancashire, at age 92.^2,8

She married Murdock Claude Falla in Birmingham, Warwickshire, on 8 February 1917.¹

Gloria May Taylor was born in Brisbane, Queensland, on 15 September 1924.

TAYLOR family oral history records that Gloria's TAYLOR grandparents were standing at the port waiting for the ship to Australia in the 1800s when they decided not to leave the “mother country”. Next to them stood an Irish family called the LAMBs who wanted passage to Australia. The TAYLORs gave their tickets to the LAMBs who arrived in Australia as the TAYLORs. They were so frightened to tell people of their good fortune they retained the name TAYLOR to this day. The truth of this is unclear, and is obviously extremely difficult to evaluate!¹

She married Henry Frank Ward, son of Alfred Ward and Florence Rosina Brittain, at St Stephen's Presbyterian Church in Maryborough, Queensland, on 21 December 1946. He was a labourer and she was a hairdresser.³

Margaret died on 27 April 1967 in Queensland at age 40.⁴

Margaret Amy Innes Taylor was born in New Zealand in 1873.²
