She married Matthew Hood Adam, son of William Adam and Agnes Hood, in Kilsyth, Stirlingshire, on 24 June 1845.1

Janet died on 22 July 1881 at Homehill Cottage, Academy St in Coatbridge, Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, of carditis.3

Sarah was named executrix and beneficiary in the will of Samuel Forsaith, her husband, dated 2 October 1798 in Braintree, Essex; she was to receive the whole estate unless she married again, when it was to devolve to their children.6

Sarah died on 3 March 1803 in Bocking, Essex, at age 57.7,4 She was buried on 10 March 1803 at the Bocking Meeting House burial ground in Bocking.8
