Caroline (Lina) Mary Graham Scott was born in Holloway, Middlesex, on 9 July 1872.^4,5,6 and was baptised on 7 August 1872 at Saint John The Evangelist in Holloway.⁵

She married Norman Gardner Fergusson, son of John Fergusson and Jessie Muirhead McFarlane, at St Michael's Church in Edmonton, Highgate, Middlesex, on 5 June 1894. The bride was given away by her father and her three sisters Norah, Lilian, Ethel were bridesmaids along with Winifred Jessie Fergusson. After the reception the couple left for a honeymoon tour in Scotland.^1,7,3,8

She was listed in the 1901 census at Kinlark in Little Stanmore, Hendon, Middlesex, with her husband Norman; he was an iron ore merchant. Their children Mary and Honor were listed as living with them.⁹

She was listed in the 1911 census as Head of Family at 'Herondale', Gordon Avenue in Stanmore, Middlesex. Her children Nancy and John were listed as living with her.⁴

She was listed in the 1921 census at The Rectory in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire; she noted she was 'temporary Head' due to her husband's absence. Her children Honor and Nancy were listed as living with her, and there were two servants - a cook and parlour-maid - also in residence.¹⁰

She was widowed at age 60 on the death of her husband Norman on 28 December 1932.^1,11

She was listed in the 1939 Register at Constantine Bungalow, Constantine Bay in Wadebridge, Cornwall; the household belonged to an Alfred I BENNETT, stone mason. Lyndesaye R Fergusson and John Robert Scott Fergusson were listed as living at the same address.⁶

Caroline died on 21 November 1944 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, at age 72.^12,13
