Margaret Knox Scott was born in Partick, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, on 20 November 1904.^1,2,3
The siblings Margaret and Jane were listed in the 1911 census at Woodfield in Alexander St in Dunoon, Argyllshire, with their mother Margaret Cassidy.⁴
She was listed as the step-daughter of Robert Adam (Bertie) Ferguson in the 1921 Census at 30 McDougall St in Camlachie, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and was a carpet mill worker.⁵

Margaret's marriage to Albert McDougall was registered between April 1928 and June 1928 in Camberwell, London, Middlesex.⁶

She and her husband Albert left Southampton on the Windsor Castle for Sth Africa on the 22 June 1928 and arrived back on the Kenilworth Castle from Port Natal, Sth Africa on Oct 8th. They were accompanied by Cornelius McBride and wife Louisa on what appears to be at least the duo's second Sth African tour.^7,8

She was widowed at age 59 on the death of her husband Albert on 20 April 1964.⁹

Margaret died on 26 February 1972 at Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, at age 67 of cancer of the pancreas.³
