William Leonard Forsaith was born in Sydney, New South Wales, on 22 March 1926.¹

He enlisted in the RAAF on 6 April 1944 at Sydney, New South Wales.¹ He was discharged on 11 April 1946 At discharge he held the rank of Leading Aircraftman, RAAF (#162690), attached to the 81st Fighter Wing.¹

He married Nancy Ellen Lillington in Ashfield, New South Wales, in 1948.²

William died on 21 April 2013 in Camden, Sydney, New South Wales, at age 87.^3,4 His ashes were buried on 3 May 2013 at Woronora Cemetery and Crematorium, 121 Linden St in Sutherland.⁴

He was listed in the 1921 census as Head of Family at 763 London Rd in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, with his wife Florence; he was a Costume skirt manufacturer in his own business. Their children Harold and William were listed as living with them.¹⁰

He was listed in the 1939 Register at 'Trevella', Watford Rd in Wembley, Middlesex, with Florence Susannah Saunders; he was the Secretary and Director of the family's woman's costume skirt manufacturing company, which was also on the Govt contract list for light work. Harold Saunders Forsaith and William Valentine Forsaith were listed as living at the same address.⁴

He was widowed at age 69 on the death of his wife Florence on 17 May 1946.^1,11,12

William died on 13 May 1959 at Brockenhurst Nursing Home, Hindes Rd in Harrow, Middlesex, at age 82.^1,11,13,14 He was buried at the St Carwenna, Crowan Church in Praze-An-Beeble.¹¹

He was named executor and beneficiary in the will of John Smyth Forsaith, his brother, dated 16 October 1844 at 3 White Horse Lane, Stepney in London, Middlesex; all property was to be divided equally amongst the siblings.¹³

He was appointed administrator of John Smyth Forsaith's estate in London, Middlesex, on 20 February 1845.¹³

He was listed in the 1851 census as Head of Family at 186 High St in St Leonards Shoreditch, London, Middlesex, with his wife Clara; he was a banker. Their children William, Alfred, Ellen and Mary were listed as living with them.²

He signed a will dated 27 June 1853 in Cornwall, leaving all household furniture, books, plate, linen, pictures and all money under the value of £10 in the house at his decease, to his wife. She was also to inherit his half share in the profits of the business he carried on with John VIVIAN (under the name of Vivian Forsaith & Company) for the remainder of the term of the partnership together with all the money invested in the business. His wife and cousin Robert, as executors, were to receive ten guineas each for their troubles, and the remainder of his estate was to go to his wife in trust, to then flow equally to their children on her death, after they had attained the age of 21.¹⁴

William died on 18 July 1853 at Gwinear in Camborne, Cornwall, at age 40 of consumption.^1,15,16 He was buried on 23 July 1853 at the Gwinear.¹⁷

His will was probated in London, Middlesex, on 10 October 1853 with Robert Forsaith and Clara Lydia Bolton Twynam appointed administrators.¹⁴

He jointly succeeded to the Forsaith printing business on his father's retirement in 1874, when the company became Forsaith Brothers.⁷

He married Sarah Dobson in Nth Aylesford, Kent, on 24 November 1870.^1,8

John Stokes Forsaith and William Valentine Forsaith were appointed executors of John Smyth Forsaith's estate in London on 10 October 1883.¹⁰

William died on 29 June 1889 at 35 Southborough Rd in Hackney, London, Middlesex, at age 41; he had sustained crush injuries 9 months earlier when a platen machine fell as it was being hoisted out to the street in order to be taken to a local exhibition to demonstrate letterpress printing.^1,11,12,7

Winifred Ambrose Forsaith and Gordon Clifford Miller were listed in the 1939 Register at Flat 4, Lawn Cottages in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, along with Charles Leonard Miller.⁴

Winifred died on 31 March 1955 in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, at age 81.¹²

Frances Charlotte Maria Fortune was born in San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California, on 1 September 1909.^2,3

She married John Antony Cooper, son of William Herbert Cooper and Mabel Kate Fergusson, at the British Consulate in Foochow between 1931 and 1935.^1,4

She left London on the 14 September 1946 on the Otranto, bound for Hong Kong, to be reunited with her husband, giving her home address as 'Four Gables', Writtle, Essex.⁵

She and her husband John arrived back in London on 22 February 1949 having embarked in Shanghai and travelled on the Glenorchy via Yokohama to return to 'Four Gables', Writtle, Essex. He gave his occupation as 'merchant' and their last permanent residence as China.⁶

Frances died on 5 July 1985 in Chichester, Sussex, at age 75.^7,8
